On April 30, 2003 the Ontario government introduced and then passed, in less than five minutes and with unanimous consent, "An act to protect jobs, promote economic growth and address the challenge of SARS in Ontario. The Bill is not yet in effect as it has not been given Royal Assent. The Bill can be found at SARS Assistance and Recovery Strategy Act, 2003
