OBA Seeks Input on Wrongful Dismissals

The Ontario Bar Association has struck a Task Force on Wrongful Dismissal Litigation in response to concerns raised by Ontario’s Chief Justice Warren Winkler (one of Canada's leading labour and employment lawyers before going to the bench) about whether the current litigation system is ensuring access to justice in these types of claims.  The OBA is "inviting individuals and parties to make written submissions outlining their experience and advice on how the resolution process can be improved."

The Chair of the Task Force is Elaine Newman, a mediator and arbitrator.
