The Legislature has passed Bill 154 (Employment Standards Amendment Act (Organ Donor Leave), 2009). The Bill will provide unpaid job-protected leave for
employees who donate certain organs to another individual. There is a short News Release discussing the Bill. The Ontario Government has also developed an Organ Donation Strategy.
